Flodesk
Sync your BridalOp customers to a Flodesk segment. Customer tags are converted into custom fields you can use for email personalization and segmentation.

Getting Your API Key
- Log into your Flodesk account
- Click the gear icon in the top-right
- Click Account
- Click API
- Click Generate API key (or copy your existing key)
- Copy the key
For detailed instructions with screenshots, see Flodesk's official guide: How to find your API key.
INFO
Flodesk API access is available on paid plans. Check your Flodesk plan to confirm you have API access enabled.
Connecting
- Go to Settings > Integrations > Flodesk
- Paste your API key into the API Key field
- Click Connect
- Select your Segment from the dropdown (Flodesk calls audiences "segments")
- Click Save
Once connected, the integration shows a Connected badge and the last sync time.
How It Works
Each customer is synced as a Flodesk subscriber with:
- Email (primary identifier)
- First Name
- Last Name
- Assigned to the selected Segment
Custom Fields Instead of Tags
Flodesk organizes subscribers into segments rather than using tags, so BridalOp's tag system is converted into custom fields:
| BridalOp Tag | Flodesk Custom Field |
|---|---|
event:wedding | event = wedding |
source:referral | source = referral |
location:main-street | location = main-street |
wedding-2026 | wedding_year = 2026 |
A source_app field is also added with the value bridalop to identify customers synced from BridalOp.
TIP
Make sure these custom fields exist in your Flodesk account so you can use them for personalization and segmentation.
Sending a Test Contact
After connecting, click Send test contact to push your most recent opted-in customer to Flodesk as a smoke test. Verify the subscriber appears in your segment with the correct fields populated.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect to stop syncing. Your credentials are cleared, but subscribers already synced to Flodesk remain in your segment.
