MailerLite

Sync your BridalOp customers to a MailerLite group. Customer tags are converted into custom fields you can use for segmentation and automation in MailerLite.

MailerLite integration

Enabling the Module

Before you can connect MailerLite, enable the MailerLite module from the Modules settings page.

Getting Your API Key

  1. Log into your MailerLite account
  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right → Integrations
  3. Click the Developer API section
  4. Click Generate new token
  5. Give it a name (e.g., "BridalOp") and click Create token
  6. Copy the token — you'll only see it once

For detailed instructions, see MailerLite's official guide: Where to find the MailerLite API key, Group ID, and documentation.

Connecting

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > MailerLite
  2. Paste your API key into the API Key field
  3. Click Connect
  4. Select your Group from the dropdown (MailerLite calls audiences "groups")
  5. Click Save

Once connected, the integration shows a Connected badge and the last sync time.

How It Works

Each customer is synced as a MailerLite subscriber with:

  • Email (primary identifier)
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Phone
  • Assigned to the selected Group

Custom Fields Instead of Tags

MailerLite doesn't support tags the same way Mailchimp does, so BridalOp's tag system is converted into custom fields:

BridalOp TagMailerLite Custom Field
event:weddingevent = wedding
source:referralsource = referral
location:main-streetlocation = main-street
wedding-2026wedding_year = 2026

A source_app field is also added with the value bridalop to identify customers synced from BridalOp.

TIP

Make sure the custom fields exist in your MailerLite account, or create them so you can use them in segments and automations.

Sending a Test Contact

After connecting, click Send test contact to push your most recent opted-in customer to MailerLite as a smoke test. Verify the subscriber appears in your group with the expected custom fields.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect to stop syncing. Your credentials are cleared, but subscribers already synced to MailerLite remain in your group.
